About Ray Roth…

I am a qualified professional Civil Marriage Celebrant appointed by the Commonwealth Attorney General, having completed a recognised training course with Wide Bay TAFE College. Each year I undertake ongoing Professional Development Training to keep abreast of the industry.

Before becoming a Celebrant I was a Manufacturing Engineer and University Academic for 40 years, and one of my lecturing specialties was “Communication skills”. My interaction with students was one of the great joys of that life – I am a people person.

In 1998 I retired and spent eight years with my wife Sally cruising the Queensland coast in a 14 metre catamaran. Eventually we decided that there was more to life than lazing on tropical beaches!!!! So we returned to Brisbane, settled down in the Redlands and I took up my new career as a Marriage Celebrant, with Sally as my dedicated roadie.

In my two and a half years as a celebrant I have married over 100 couples and I can honestly say that the pleasure never diminishes. It’s a great thrill to be a part of each and every marriage ceremony.

I take a very professional approach to my celebrant work but if you look at my photos what you see is what you get. I have a laid back attitude to life and like my ceremonies to be fun as well as solemn. After all why should you have to wait till the reception to make it a fun day.

I really enjoy being with couples on their very special day and their response when they realize they are now married. I would love to perform your wedding for you – your way – any time – any place.
