About Jack Patten…
“My business name, Truly Romantic Ceremonies reflects the fact that my wife Audrey and I are hopeless romantics, and have always been so. I am one of eight children and appreciate the value of family life and family ties. I have had a wide and varied working life, Soldier, Policeman. Human Resources and Public Relations. My working life was mainly involved in “people” matters.
I was appointed in 1995 and have had the pleasure of celebrating the marriages of over 1400 people who come from such diverse places as Argentine to Zimbabwe. I have conducted weddings in all parts of south-east Queensland, and in New South Wales. As a resident of Redland City I have always made myself available for weddings on North Stradbroke and other Moreton Bay Islands. For many Redlands residents I am known as their “family” Celebrant.
While I have wed so many people I am still amazed at the capacity of each wedding to surprise and delight me, and I look back with great happiness on being able to assist so many people on their wedding day.
The Truly Romantic Ceremony selection system that I developed helps you in all facets of your ceremony, and you can be confident of my presence and support throughout. As I often tell my couples, “All you have to do is turn up and remember your name, and I will do the rest.”
Because I have received wedding enquiries from people living in different parts of the world, on many occasions I have not met the couple until a few minutes before their wedding commences, yet people still comment on the ease with which the ceremony is conducted.
